Ugh!  After reading Master Lewis and Sifu Hunter's posts, it rang a few more bells, making me realize I REALLY need work on my terminology.

Luke! ::lol:: THANKS for the visual!  Definitely not what I was expecting to see!  They look heavy and slow to maneuver ... especially with two.  Is that the normal number a person would wield, or just one?

YES! - Gripping the hammer by the head(!) ... for a resistance training idea Sifu came up with ... and for the water drill ... with it being in my less dominant/trailing hand and the lead hand is holding the hammer by the handle.  Switch sides and do it again for continuous fun fun FUN!

The hardest part for me is getting the staff to where I feel like it can protect my centerline if I'm in a front stance.

Perhaps I am not seeing what you are and I am leaving myself open.  Ewwww.  I don't think so but now you make me wonder with your thought.

Master Lewis!  Always a pleasure to read your posts.  I could not have explained it as well as you and I THANK YOU for your summation.

Sifu Hunter!  Cry  (<sweating!)  Me teach??!!  Shocked  I'm such a spaz ya'll, but I accept the offer so long as I have a Sifu's guidance on a lesson plan!

I have been wanting to meet our peeps in the Alabama Kwoons for the longest and have missed visits from Tiffany twice, as well as a few others.   Undecided  So this idea is awesome!

And please, don't set out the fine china at our expense, Will.  I appreciate the gesture though.

Let me add that I accepted a job offer this morning (WOOHOO!!! Thank you, Lord!), my best friend's Mother was put into the hospital this morning  AND I am looking at moving closer to Nashville -ASAP- but there are still issues with that.  ANYHOO ... let me see how all of this falls into place and I will work out a date with everyone.

Oh yeah:
The company I will work for does not normally work on weekends and that has always seemed like a good time as any for a get together.  Huh?
